PHILLIPSBURG | Mark B. Miller is set to start work today as Phillipsburg School District superintendent. Warren County Superintendent Kevin Brennan confirmed Monday his office had approved Miller's contract. Miller accepted the district's offer Aug. 15. He leaves behind his former job as superintendent of schools in Newton, N.J. Board President Paul Rummerfield said the county's only contractual question focused on the length of Miller's contract. Normally contracts extend three or five years, but because Miller will start this fall, his contract is for about three and half years. Miller's salary is $175,000.
